DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nParents Paint & Sip while Kids Learn Cooking 2022\nParents Sip and Paint \nHealdsburg Center of the Arts will be teaching a fun “Sip and Paint” class inspired by the sweeping vineyard views at Ketcham Estate. The class will be outside\, weather permitting with lots of fresh air and stations will be spaced according to Sonoma County’s Covid Guidelines. You will also get to sip on Ketcham Estate wines. First glass of wine is on me! You can purchase additional glasses for $8 each or share a bottle with some friends. \nKids’ Cooking Class \nI will be cooking with the kids in Ketcham’s amazing kitchen. Kids will create individual Baked Ziti\, Bacon Wrapped Green Bean Bundles and Lemon Strawberry Shortcake Cups. When class is over\, kids will have dinner prepared for you and themselves. \n“You get to take the night off\, hang with your friends sipping wine and enjoying an art lesson\, while the kids cook dinner. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Bold Flavors in Fauve” at the Upstairs Art Gallery in Healdsburg 2022\nSonoma County wine-country artist\, Willow LaLand\, presents Bold Flavors in Fauve\, a collection of wine-inspired paintings that allows the luxuriant color undertones to star. Working in acrylics or oils\, she glazes layer upon layer until she senses the emergence of the wine’s multiple complex elements. Grounded in hyper-realistic vineyard landscapes\, these works connect the viewer to the land that produces these world-renowned varieties. “Robert Young” transports the viewer on a high-tone experience of multi-hued wine with a richly rendered Sonoma vineyard in the background. “I love bringing out the subtle but bold notes in these exemplary wines\,” noted LaLand. The artist’s Fauve painting series grew out of the popularity of these paintings in primary colors. \nA third-generation artist\, LaLand began exhibiting her paintings at an early age. She is inspired by early American realists\, such as John Frederick Peto and uses techniques developed by 17th century painters to achieve dramatic realism. LaLand has exhibited widely and is internationally collected. Working in acrylics or oils\, she glazes layer upon layer until she senses the emergence of the wine’s multiple complex elements. Grounded in hyper-realistic vineyard landscapes\, these works connect the viewer to the land that produces these world-renowned varieties. “Robert Young” transports the viewer on a high-tone experience of multi-hued wine with a richly rendered Sonoma vineyard in the background. “I love bringing out the subtle but bold notes in these exemplary wines\,” noted LaLand. The artist’s Fauve painting series grew out of the popularity of these paintings in primary colors. \nA third-generation artist\, LaLand began exhibiting her paintings at an early age. She is inspired by early American realists\, such as John Frederick Peto and uses techniques developed by 17th century painters to achieve dramatic realism.
