Kochergin\, presents No Detail Too small\, a collection botanical artwork that expresses the unique beauty of each subject. After working in multiple mediums\, Kochergin felt blessed to discover botanical art in 2010\, meeting her love of botanicals\, realism\, perfectionism\, and calling her to adopt this age-old art form. From that moment\, she worked ardently to illustrate the beauty of each subject in her work. “No detail is ever too small to include – a bug eaten leaf\, small hairs on a rose stem\, vein patterns in a leaf – all contribute to the botanical’s character\, spirit and individuality\,” stated the artist. She notes further that it takes weeks to months to complete a piece\, but she doesn’t stop until she feels she has done her best to showcase the beautiful intricacies of the subject. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nLandscape Painting Outdoors in Gouache at Healdsburg’s Riverside Park\nCourse description: This one-day “en plein air” or outdoor workshop with gouache (opaque watercolor) will be held at the Riverfront Regional Park in Windsor by instructor Sergio Lopez. Gouache is a fun and versatile water-based medium\, well-suited for painting on location. \nTechniques will include setting up an outdoor easel\, choosing a landscape composition\, paint handling\, mixing a wide range of colors from a simplified palette\, and creating textures for trees\, grasses\, and other landscape elements while learning how to depict light and color. The workshop will feature both a demo painting by the instructor and individual instruction. \nMaterials: You may purchase your own from most art suppliers such as Riley Street in Santa Rosa or Jerry’s Artarama and Trekell online.
