DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nHealdsburg 5K Turkey Trot 2021\nThe Healdsburg Turkey Trot is back for 2021! Launched in 2014 and now in its seventh year after a pandemic hiatus\, the 5k fun run/walk will take place on Thanksgiving Day\, November 25th. The race kicks off at 8am and both starts and finishes at 333 Center Street in front of Healdsburg Running Company. The course loops through the quiet streets of Healdsburg and offers an appetite-building morning with fun for all. \nAs in past years\, each registered runner will receive a special commemorative long sleeve t-shirt. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers\, as well as the top youth runners under the age of 13. Prizes are given at random for the great costumes that have become a hallmark of this event. \nThe Healdsburg Turkey Trot is a volunteer community effort that supports the Drew Esquivel Memorial Scholarship\, helping high-achieving Healdsburg High student-athletes fulfill their dreams of going to college. Sponsorships and registrations support this scholarship\, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Healdsburg Sunrise and the Healdsburg High School Interact Club. Plan to join the community on Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Become a sponsor to support local students who strive to Live Like Drew! \nWear Your Costumes! \nRegister in groups:\n1. The first person goes through regular registration – at checkout click “Add Participant”\n2. This takes you back to the main page where the next person can be added by clicking the green “Register” button.\n3. The walk will be 2 miles over gently rolling terrain with opportunities to pause for contemplative practice. Hikes to vistas have an elevation gain of 150 feet or less. Our time together will culminate in joining other weekend retreat participants for lunch outdoors at the dining hall. \nBring sturdy shoes\, a water bottle and rain gear. The walk will happen rain or shine. Your guided journey begins at the Winery Chateau Bacchus courtyard\, where you’ll grab a protein snack and depart by foot on the four-mile hike on our private trail\, which begins and ends at the winery and traverses hills and valleys with an elevation change of about 300 feet. This moderate hike passes through woods\, meadows and sustainably farmed vineyards before a break at Vista Point\, the highest hilltop of this peaceful 1\,200-acre ranch\, boasting a sweeping panorama of multiple wine regions and mountain ranges. \n  \n\n \n\n  \nThen descend into the olive orchards and make your way around the lake and cattle pasture to reach the chef’s garden and apiary. DESCRIPTION:Estate Hiking Adventure at Jordan Winery 2021\nImmerse yourself in nature with a Sonoma hiking excursion at Jordan Estate\, featuring mountain views\, vibrant vineyards and a wine pairing picnic. \nGet outside and enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking views with a Sonoma hiking adventure across the beautiful Jordan Estate\, home to Jordan Vineyard & Winery. Your guided journey begins at the Winery Chateau Bacchus courtyard\, where you’ll grab a protein snack and depart by foot on the four-mile hike on our private trail\, which begins and ends at the winery and traverses hills and valleys with an elevation change of about 300 feet. This moderate hike passes through woods\, meadows and sustainably farmed vineyards before a break at Vista Point\, the highest hilltop of this peaceful 1\,200-acre ranch\, boasting a sweeping panorama of multiple wine regions and mountain ranges. \n  \n\n \n\n  \nThen descend into the olive orchards and make your way around the lake and cattle pasture to reach the chef’s garden and apiary. During the moderately strenuous hike\, you’ll see Jordan’s new pollinator sanctuary plantings—open space that has been dedicated to creating habitat for vital pollinators\, including the endangered Western monarch butterfly. The experience culminates on the winery terrace for a charcuterie picnic with wine pairing at your own table\, featuring Jordan Chardonnay\, Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon\, special selections by Journeyman Meat Co.\, and a beautiful salad with fresh vegetables and greens from our garden and the estate. \nTickets go on sale September 24 at 9 a.m. PST and will be available until sold out. \nOur chef can accommodate gluten-free\, vegan\, vegetarian and pescatarian diets. Please make arrangements at least seven days in advance.
