Kochergin\, presents No Detail Too small\, a collection botanical artwork that expresses the unique beauty of each subject. After working in multiple mediums\, Kochergin felt blessed to discover botanical art in 2010\, meeting her love of botanicals\, realism\, perfectionism\, and calling her to adopt this age-old art form. From that moment\, she worked ardently to illustrate the beauty of each subject in her work. “No detail is ever too small to include – a bug eaten leaf\, small hairs on a rose stem\, vein patterns in a leaf – all contribute to the botanical’s character\, spirit and individuality\,” stated the artist. She notes further that it takes weeks to months to complete a piece\, but she doesn’t stop until she feels she has done her best to showcase the beautiful intricacies of the subject. Your guided journey begins at the Winery Chateau Bacchus courtyard\, where you’ll grab a protein snack and depart by foot on the four-mile hike on our private trail\, which begins and ends at the winery and traverses hills and valleys with an elevation change of about 300 feet. This moderate hike passes through woods\, meadows and sustainably farmed vineyards before a break at Vista Point\, the highest hilltop of this peaceful 1\,200-acre ranch\, boasting a sweeping panorama of multiple wine regions and mountain ranges. \n  \n\n \n\n  \nThen descend into the olive orchards and make your way around the lake and cattle pasture to reach the chef’s garden and apiary. During the moderately strenuous hike\, you’ll see Jordan’s new pollinator sanctuary plantings—open space that has been dedicated to creating habitat for vital pollinators\, including the endangered Western monarch butterfly. The experience culminates on the winery terrace for a charcuterie picnic with wine pairing at your own table\, featuring Jordan Chardonnay\, Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon\, special selections by Journeyman Meat Co.\, and a beautiful salad with fresh vegetables and greens from our garden and the estate. \nTickets go on sale September 24 at 9 a.m. PST and will be available until sold out. \nOur chef can accommodate gluten-free\, vegan\, vegetarian and pescatarian diets. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nCeramics – Wheel and Hand Building in Healdsburg High School\nJoin Linus Lancaster in the Healdsburg High School ceramics studio for the first in a series of monthly clay classes. Learn how to throw pottery on the wheel to form functional pieces such as cups\, bowls\, and plates. Through individual guidance and repetition\, students will develop skills in throwing techniques. There are 5-6 pottery wheels in the room\, so\, everyone will have multiple turns. \nIn addition to the wheel\, the focus will be on the hand-building techniques; pinch\, coil\, and slabs. Functional as well as sculptural applications will be explored. This class can accommodate beginning potters as well as those with previous throwing experience. Repeating students are encouraged to sign up. \nPlease note: This class includes clay\, 2 kiln firings\, and glazes. Since all thrown pieces require two kiln firings\, pieces will not be available for pickup until approximately 7-10 days after class ends. After working in multiple mediums\, Kochergin felt blessed to discover botanical art in 2010\, meeting her love of botanicals\, realism\, perfectionism\, and calling her to adopt this age-old art form. From that moment\, she worked ardently to illustrate the beauty of each subject in her work. “No detail is ever too small to include – a bug eaten leaf\, small hairs on a rose stem\, vein patterns in a leaf – all contribute to the botanical’s character\, spirit and individuality\,” stated the artist. She notes further that it takes weeks to months to complete a piece\, but she doesn’t stop until she feels she has done her best to showcase the beautiful intricacies of the subject. This moderate hike passes through woods\, meadows and sustainably farmed vineyards before a break at Vista Point\, the highest hilltop of this peaceful 1\,200-acre ranch\, boasting a sweeping panorama of multiple wine regions and mountain ranges. \n  \n\n \n\n  \nThen descend into the olive orchards and make your way around the lake and cattle pasture to reach the chef’s garden and apiary. During the moderately strenuous hike\, you’ll see Jordan’s new pollinator sanctuary plantings—open space that has been dedicated to creating habitat for vital pollinators\, including the endangered Western monarch butterfly.
