DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nSan Francisco Comedy Competition Semi-Finals\nThe San Francisco Comedy Competition is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America—launching the careers of people like Ellen DeGeneres and Patton Oswalt. It’s an outrageously funny evening where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete in the San Francisco International Stand Up Comedy Competition. Only 30 are chosen. \nIn its first year\, Robin Williams came in 2nd. \n  \n\n \n\n  \nMany talented comedians have since emerged from this annual event to become major stars. It could be argued that The Comedy Competition helps turn them into diamonds as it is a true contest that develops its contestants by forcing them to adjust to a variety of audiences—in comedy clubs\, colleges\, casinos and theaters—while enduring the strain of an extended road trip. \nComedy Competition champ of 1977\, Dana Carvey went on to “Saturday Night Live.” The 1979 champ Marsha Warfield went on to star as Roz the bailiff on “Night Court.” The 1982 finalist Kevin Pollak has achieved a major film career\, as has 1987 finalist Rob Schneider. \nTwo first runners up—Ellen DeGeneres in 1985 and Mark Curry in 1989—landed their own TV series. This signup is for Healdsburg. You will be able to select which location in Healdsburg you would like to participate at when you select your ticket type. Available locations to cleanup include Riverfront Park\, Badger Park\, Alexander Bridge Road\, Del Rio Woods Regional Park\, and near Syar plant upstream. It’s easy to participate and we provide all the gloves\, trash grabbers\, and bags. Volunteers will receive a special gift! \nRegistration \n\nRegister Online Here\n\nCheck-in with your beach captain upon arrival at the Healdsburg Park and Ride\, 13100 Healdsburg Ave. Healdsburg\, CA 95448. \n\nFrom each registration location\, volunteers will be able to choose various beach walking routes based on where the trash is. Supplies will be provided if needed at registration\, but you are encouraged to bring a face mask\, gloves\, water\, and other supplies if you have them.\n\nThe 2021 Russian River Watershed Cleanup will continue to remove litter from beach-goers before the winter rains wash them to the ocean. We can’t save the ocean unless we stop sending our trash downstream. You can help us break that cycle!
