DESCRIPTION:  \nUpstairs Art Gallery’s June Exhibit: Summer’s Bounty \nSonoma County artist\, Laura Roney\, presents Summer’s Bounty\, a collection of oil paintings that celebrate the seasonal transformation as flowers blossom to create their fruit. As nature awakens from its long Winter slumber\, Roney finds Spring an exciting time. Watching the trees come to life and flowers bloom inspires her art. Working in oils allows Roney to layer colors through multiple glazes and create the translucence of the fruits\, the colors growing in richness with each layer of paint. “I am always amazed at how these simple shapes emerging from nature can be so complex in color – a simple orange can reveal hints of vermillion and gold\,” noted Roney. Deliciously stunning in shades of beautiful hues\, these works\, featuring luscious fruits\, are colorful beacons to welcome the new season. \nRoney has been in love with art her entire life\, always including art in her education. Whatever career she was pursuing\, she looked at the world through an artist’s eye. She began her career in microbiology\, followed by an MBA in Finance and a career move to pharmaceutical research. She always made time for artistic endeavors and a family move to California finally afforded Roney an opportunity to focus on her art. On Saturdays we’re located in the West Plaza Parking Lot (behind recently closed Bear Republic Brewing) at the corner of North Street and Vine Street\, just one block west of the Plaza. Parking: We have two dedicated parking aisles at the Saturday market! Just drive into the West Plaza lot from the North Street entrance\, and either the first or the second aisle in from the entrance are market parking only. DESCRIPTION:  \nUpstairs Art Gallery’s June Exhibit: Summer’s Bounty \nSonoma County artist\, Laura Roney\, presents Summer’s Bounty\, a collection of oil paintings that celebrate the seasonal transformation as flowers blossom to create their fruit. As nature awakens from its long Winter slumber\, Roney finds Spring an exciting time. Watching the trees come to life and flowers bloom inspires her art. Working in oils allows Roney to layer colors through multiple glazes and create the translucence of the fruits\, the colors growing in richness with each layer of paint. “I am always amazed at how these simple shapes emerging from nature can be so complex in color – a simple orange can reveal hints of vermillion and gold\,” noted Roney. Deliciously stunning in shades of beautiful hues\, these works\, featuring luscious fruits\, are colorful beacons to welcome the new season. \nRoney has been in love with art her entire life\, always including art in her education. Whatever career she was pursuing\, she looked at the world through an artist’s eye. She began her career in microbiology\, followed by an MBA in Finance and a career move to pharmaceutical research. She always made time for artistic endeavors and a family move to California finally afforded Roney an opportunity to focus on her art. DESCRIPTION:  \nUpstairs Art Gallery’s June Exhibit: Summer’s Bounty \nSonoma County artist\, Laura Roney\, presents Summer’s Bounty\, a collection of oil paintings that celebrate the seasonal transformation as flowers blossom to create their fruit. As nature awakens from its long Winter slumber\, Roney finds Spring an exciting time. Watching the trees come to life and flowers bloom inspires her art. Working in oils allows Roney to layer colors through multiple glazes and create the translucence of the fruits\, the colors growing in richness with each layer of paint. “I am always amazed at how these simple shapes emerging from nature can be so complex in color – a simple orange can reveal hints of vermillion and gold\,” noted Roney. Deliciously stunning in shades of beautiful hues\, these works\, featuring luscious fruits\, are colorful beacons to welcome the new season. \nRoney has been in love with art her entire life\, always including art in her education. Whatever career she was pursuing\, she looked at the world through an artist’s eye. She began her career in microbiology\, followed by an MBA in Finance and a career move to pharmaceutical research. She always made time for artistic endeavors and a family move to California finally afforded Roney an opportunity to focus on her art. We feature a wide variety of fruits and vegetables\, as well as flowers\, cheeses\, honey\, olive oil\, bread\, wild fish\, pasture-finished meat\, fresh eggs\,and lots of Fun! Our market celebrates the agricultural heritage of this beautiful area. We also have deliciously cooked food\, packaged food products\, and beautiful handmade crafts from hobbiests. On Tuesdays we’re located in our town’s lovely Fountain Square Plaza. Parking: There’s plenty of parking along the streets bounding around our Fountain Square Plaza.
