DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Nature’s Audubon” Art Exhibit at The Upstairs Art Gallery in Healdsburg\nLocal artist\, Ron Sumner\, presents Nature’s Audubon\, a collection of paintings that express unique beauty and character of birds. After studying them in detail\, Sumner captures their unique qualities to bring them to life on the surface of the paper or canvas. While the artist focuses on birds\, he loves to paint other wild animals\, as well. Carefully taking into account the detail of his subjects’ coloration\, bone structure\, texture of the fur or feathers\, these paintings bring out each creature’s personality. The proud bird profiled in “California Quail” locks eyes with the viewer with its “take no prisoners” attitude. “I love to break out the paint brushes when blessed with such charming\, vibrant subjects – they are a joy to paint and I hope they bring a smile to the viewer\,” said Sumner. \nBorn and raised in Northern California\, Sumner began his art training in highschool and earned a BFA from the CA College of Arts and Crafts. Before focusing full-time on fine art\, Sumner was a technical illustrator for a number of years. An award-winning artist\, his portrait of John F. Kennedy is part of the permanent collection of the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nRussian River Watershed Cleanup in Healdsburg 2022\nThis year\, cleanups will take place throughout the Russian River Watershed. This signup is for Healdsburg. You will be able to select which location in Healdsburg you would like to participate at when you select your ticket type. Available locations to cleanup include Riverfront Park\, Badger Park\, Alexander Bridge Road\, Del Rio Woods Regional Park\, and near Syar plant upstream. It’s easy to participate and we provide all the gloves\, trash grabbers\, and bags. Volunteers will receive a special gift! Check-in with your beach captain upon arrival at the Healdsburg Park and Ride\, 13100 Healdsburg Ave. Healdsburg\, CA 95448. \nFrom each registration location\, volunteers will be able to choose various beach walking routes based on where the trash is. Supplies will be provided if needed at registration\, but you are encouraged to bring a face mask\, gloves\, water\, and other supplies if you have them. Volunteers will receive a special gift and entry into a drawing to win awesome prizes! \nThe 2022 Russian River Watershed Cleanup will continue to remove litter from beachgoers before the winter rains wash them to the ocean. We can’t save the ocean unless we stop sending our trash downstream. You can help us break that cycle! Together we can stop adding to the great Pacific Garbage Patch in the middle of the ocean (it’s as big as Texas!). \nWe look forward to working together this September for a cleaner Russian River and Pacific Ocean. \nPLEASE NOTE: A copy of your liability waiver MUST be on file prior to beginning your cleanup and is available here. But the most exciting ceremony is the traditional art of sabrage\, using an authentic saber to open a bottle of sparkling wine. The legend behind sabrage is connected to The French Revolution when Napoleon\, a noted fan of Champagne\, would take victorious rides through the countryside. As he and his cavalry passed through the towns\, villagers lined the streets to toss them bottles of Champagne in celebration. Unable to open the bottles by hand from their horses\, the soldiers simply struck them open using their sabers. \nIn the Breathless sabrage experience\, receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced guide who will teach you the proper technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using impact from the blunt side of a saber. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Nature’s Audubon” Art Exhibit at The Upstairs Art Gallery in Healdsburg\nLocal artist\, Ron Sumner\, presents Nature’s Audubon\, a collection of paintings that express unique beauty and character of birds. After studying them in detail\, Sumner captures their unique qualities to bring them to life on the surface of the paper or canvas. While the artist focuses on birds\, he loves to paint other wild animals\, as well. Carefully taking into account the detail of his subjects’ coloration\, bone structure\, texture of the fur or feathers\, these paintings bring out each creature’s personality. The proud bird profiled in “California Quail” locks eyes with the viewer with its “take no prisoners” attitude. “I love to break out the paint brushes when blessed with such charming\, vibrant subjects – they are a joy to paint and I hope they bring a smile to the viewer\,” said Sumner. \nBorn and raised in Northern California\, Sumner began his art training in highschool and earned a BFA from the CA College of Arts and Crafts. Before focusing full-time on fine art\, Sumner was a technical illustrator for a number of years. An award-winning artist\, his portrait of John F. Kennedy is part of the permanent collection of the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston. As he and his cavalry passed through the towns\, villagers lined the streets to toss them bottles of Champagne in celebration. Unable to open the bottles by hand from their horses\, the soldiers simply struck them open using their sabers. \nIn the Breathless sabrage experience\, receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced guide who will teach you the proper technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using impact from the blunt side of a saber. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Nature’s Audubon” Art Exhibit at The Upstairs Art Gallery in Healdsburg\nLocal artist\, Ron Sumner\, presents Nature’s Audubon\, a collection of paintings that express unique beauty and character of birds. After studying them in detail\, Sumner captures their unique qualities to bring them to life on the surface of the paper or canvas. While the artist focuses on birds\, he loves to paint other wild animals\, as well. Carefully taking into account the detail of his subjects’ coloration\, bone structure\, texture of the fur or feathers\, these paintings bring out each creature’s personality. The proud bird profiled in “California Quail” locks eyes with the viewer with its “take no prisoners” attitude. “I love to break out the paint brushes when blessed with such charming\, vibrant subjects – they are a joy to paint and I hope they bring a smile to the viewer\,” said Sumner. \nBorn and raised in Northern California\, Sumner began his art training in highschool and earned a BFA from the CA College of Arts and Crafts. Before focusing full-time on fine art\, Sumner was a technical illustrator for a number of years. An award-winning artist\, his portrait of John F. Kennedy is part of the permanent collection of the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nThe Art of Sabrage! An Outdoor Winery Experience at Breathless Wines\nWe love all the rituals of champagne\, from the release of the wire cage to that first effervescent pour. But the most exciting ceremony is the traditional art of sabrage\, using an authentic saber to open a bottle of sparkling wine. The legend behind sabrage is connected to The French Revolution when Napoleon\, a noted fan of Champagne\, would take victorious rides through the countryside. As he and his cavalry passed through the towns\, villagers lined the streets to toss them bottles of Champagne in celebration. Unable to open the bottles by hand from their horses\, the soldiers simply struck them open using their sabers. \nIn the Breathless sabrage experience\, receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced guide who will teach you the proper technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using impact from the blunt side of a saber. You’ll also receive that same bottle of Breathless Sparkling Wine\, newly opened by your own hand\, to enjoy on the property. \n☑️ Events may require Reservations or have COVID restrictions.
