The legend behind sabrage is connected to The French Revolution when Napoleon\, a noted fan of Champagne\, would take victorious rides through the countryside. As he and his cavalry passed through the towns\, villagers lined the streets to toss them bottles of Champagne in celebration. Unable to open the bottles by hand from their horses\, the soldiers simply struck them open using their sabers. \nIn the Breathless sabrage experience\, receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced guide who will teach you the proper technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using impact from the blunt side of a saber. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Marble-ous” Art Exhibit at The Upstairs Art Gallery in Healdsburg 2022\nSonoma County artist\, Laura Roney\, presents Marble-ous\, a collection of works in oil that focuses on marbles. Roney transforms these fun colorful balls of glass and paint into swirling designs of symmetry and structure. The artist is attracted to subject matter that is generally overlooked\, often making them larger than life so all the delicate and intricate detail is available for all to see. Most of the artist’s still lifes explore reflective surfaces\, like metal or glass\, which adds dimension\, creating a picture within a picture. “I like the idea that these paintings take simple marbles and turn them into large colorful orbs\, raising them into art\, “ enthused Roney. Viewing these paintings\, one comes away with a renewed appreciation for those small objects in our world we often do not take the time to actually see. \nRoney has been in love with art her entire life\, turning to serious painting in 1993. Alter losing her house to the 2017 wildfire\, Roney misses most the momentos that made up their lives\, those little objects collected that reflected their life experiences. This led to her heightened focus on still life subject matter. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nLos Pinguos Live at Heladsburg’s Tuesday Night Concerts\nLos Pinguos came to the United States from Buenos Aires\, Argentina\, with a mixture of Latin rhythms\, reggae\, rumba flamenca and rock. The sound of the band has claimed fans worldwide. The story began in 1999 when Adrián Buono\, Enzo Buono\, José Agote\, Juan Manzur and Juan Manuel Leguizamón (later joined by bassist Santiago Lee) formed the band. In early 2001\, Los Pinguos arrived in the City of Los Angeles and began playing on the street (3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica) and local bars. Shortly\, they participated in a new television show\, “The Next Big Star\,” hosted and produced by Ed McMahon from “Star Search.” Los Pinguos won the contest and received the Grand Prize. Los Pinguos have appeared on three of the famous Putumayo World Music compilation albums\, Baila!\, Radio Latino and World Party. The artist is attracted to subject matter that is generally overlooked\, often making them larger than life so all the delicate and intricate detail is available for all to see. Most of the artist’s still lifes explore reflective surfaces\, like metal or glass\, which adds dimension\, creating a picture within a picture. “I like the idea that these paintings take simple marbles and turn them into large colorful orbs\, raising them into art\, “ enthused Roney. Viewing these paintings\, one comes away with a renewed appreciation for those small objects in our world we often do not take the time to actually see. \nRoney has been in love with art her entire life\, turning to serious painting in 1993. Alter losing her house to the 2017 wildfire\, Roney misses most the momentos that made up their lives\, those little objects collected that reflected their life experiences. This led to her heightened focus on still life subject matter. As he and his cavalry passed through the towns\, villagers lined the streets to toss them bottles of Champagne in celebration. Unable to open the bottles by hand from their horses\, the soldiers simply struck them open using their sabers. \nIn the Breathless sabrage experience\, receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced guide who will teach you the proper technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using impact from the blunt side of a saber. But the most exciting ceremony is the traditional art of sabrage\, using an authentic saber to open a bottle of sparkling wine. The legend behind sabrage is connected to The French Revolution when Napoleon\, a noted fan of Champagne\, would take victorious rides through the countryside. As he and his cavalry passed through the towns\, villagers lined the streets to toss them bottles of Champagne in celebration. Unable to open the bottles by hand from their horses\, the soldiers simply struck them open using their sabers. \nIn the Breathless sabrage experience\, receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced guide who will teach you the proper technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using impact from the blunt side of a saber. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nAdam Lieb at VML Winery in Healdsburg\nIn 1977\, following the release of their album The Song Remains The Same\, Led Zeppelin arrived in New York to perform six sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden. Just days later\, Adam Lieb acquired his first Gibson Les Paul guitar and began a life-long journey to play and write music with passion\, energy and soul. The accomplished singer-songwriter-guitarist lives in San Francisco’s North Bay where he performs\, records and teaches. \nEarly in his career\, Adam honed his craft as an original member of Robert Fripp’s League of Crafty Guitarists. He joined Fripp\, founding member of progressive rock band King Crimson\, and had the unique opportunity to work with the quirky British maestro\, to tour and record throughout Britain\, Europe and in the Middle East\, culminating with recording sessions at Abbey Road Studio in London. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Marble-ous” Art Exhibit at The Upstairs Art Gallery in Healdsburg 2022\nSonoma County artist\, Laura Roney\, presents Marble-ous\, a collection of works in oil that focuses on marbles. Roney transforms these fun colorful balls of glass and paint into swirling designs of symmetry and structure. The artist is attracted to subject matter that is generally overlooked\, often making them larger than life so all the delicate and intricate detail is available for all to see. Most of the artist’s still lifes explore reflective surfaces\, like metal or glass\, which adds dimension\, creating a picture within a picture. “I like the idea that these paintings take simple marbles and turn them into large colorful orbs\, raising them into art\, “ enthused Roney. Viewing these paintings\, one comes away with a renewed appreciation for those small objects in our world we often do not take the time to actually see. \nRoney has been in love with art her entire life\, turning to serious painting in 1993. Alter losing her house to the 2017 wildfire\, Roney misses most the momentos that made up their lives\, those little objects collected that reflected their life experiences. This led to her heightened focus on still life subject matter.
