Wetzel Native Garden
The Wetzel Native Plant Garden is a small plot of land bordering Foss Creek where the Wetzel family has spawned over 90 different native California varieties of plant life for visitors and local gardeners to view. This small botanical-based garden is best viewed in late autumn and early spring, as in the summer months it gets pretty dry and native plants such as these reflect their environmental conditions.
There are displays describing each of the plants with information about their natural habitat. Many of these plants are favorites among butterflies and birds and are depicted in the illustrations at the Wetzel Native Garden Plant page on the Russian Riverkeeper website.
