Considered one of the top alto saxophonists in the world, this will be Bobby’s first time returning to Healdsburg as a bandleader since 2005.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Bobby Watson sits among the pantheon of jazz greats. The multi-GRAMMY®-nominated saxophonist, composer, arranger, and educator is known for his extraordinary ability to play swing, hard bop, and contemporary jazz. Watson will reunite with Edward Simon (piano) and Essiet Essiet (bass), both members of his highly acclaimed band “Horizon”, considered the quintessential contemporary hard bop quintet of the 1980s and ‘90s. They’ll be joined by special guest Akira Tana on drums, for two shows
