Banda Potrero – Tuesday Plaza Concerts

With a career spanning over three decades, Banda Potrero is a enduring staple in the Regional Mexican music scene. Splitting their time between Mexico and Los Angeles, this versatile group has carved out a unique niche by blending traditional banda sounds, tamborazo, and mariachi with unexpected genres—most notably pioneering a fun, high-energy “Rock-Quebradito” style in the 1990s with hits like Poptitos and Agujetas De Color De Rosa.

HiH Hint: You can reserve your spot by setting out chairs after 4pm. Bring a jacket and a hat, because once the sun ducks behind the buildings along Healdsburg Avenue the temperature drops faster than a rap artist’s mic. Oh yeah, ear plugs may be handy to have around. Food is always nearby. Clean bathrooms are a half-block away at the Healdsburg Police Department (238 Center Street), and if you have trouble finding it just cause a ruckus and nice police officers will personally escort you there.
