Sprouted in the orchards and pot farms of Northern California and raised on the foggy streets of the San Francisco Bay Area, Frankie Boots’ songs have been deep-frying in the sultry Southern soul of New Orleans for the past few years. The outcome is a unique brand of free range songs – always from the heart. Frankie writes about what he knows, painting vivid images of late nights, long roads, lost souls, and true love. Whether it be rock and roll, classic country, soul, folk or any other true forms of great American music, Frankie throws them each into the recipe for a dish that’s always served hot. While some artists fret over not fitting in, or being misunderstood, Boots embraces these eclectic influences and considers his genre bending approach to be the vital fabric of his art. His new album, due this summer, epitomizes this ethos and is appropriately titled “Free Range Songs”. Frankie continues to tour nationally both solo and with a band, bringing his unique brand of honest and magnetic songwriting to intimate listening rooms, raucous theaters, and festivals alike. He has opened for some of the most respected names in the industry, including Robert Earl Keen, Pokey LaFarge, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real, Leon Russell, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Reckless Kelly, and many more. Frankie Boots is currently writing, sewing, or designing in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans with his patient wife and neurotic pup.
