“Merry and Bright” Art Exhibit

Merry and Bright Art Exhibit at Upsatirs Art Gallery in Healdsburg

Sonoma County artists, Linda Barretta, Beverly Bird, Marsha Connell, Gail Morgan, Jo Tobin-Charleston, Tosya Shore, Ron Sumner, Carolyn Wilson, present Merry and Bright, a collection of works that celebrates the season through joyful colors and iconic themes. The red cardinal in Wilson’s “Winter Messenger” complements the snowy green leaf in “Snowfall,” a monoprint by Gail Morgan. The reds and greens with gold accents in these works, whether a floral display, landscape or a still life, bring a cheery note to the season. Gold accents light up the pasture in Barretta’s “Franz Valley Field.” Blue balls create a jazzy accent to the red flowers in Shore’s watercolor, “Amaryllis On My Mind.” One can’t help but smile at Sumner’s watercolor “Twas Christmas Time in the Vineyard,” where a gnarly old grapevine seems to dance with joy regaled in brightly colored ornaments. What a perfect way to celebrate the holidays in Sonoma wine country.
