Duck Dash 2021 Healdsburg CA

Healdsburg’s Duck Dash is a SMASH

With wonderment and excitement children, parents, family and friends all poured into our lovely little fountain-adorned Healdsburg Square Plaza this year to celebrate our renowned 2021 Duck Dash and Bicycle Parade extravaganza! Fun, frisky music by those outlaw rascals Courtin’ Disaster filled the air as everyone swayed, sauntered or two-stepped to their heart’s delight. Hundreds of families and friends joined together for another amazing day here in Healdsburg.

My beautiful wife and I strolled around petting the friendliest of dogs, met new friends and old, marveled at the color, imagination, and sparkle children decorated their brilliant bikes with for the children’s parade, watched with excited anticipation as children huddled at the starting line for their honored annual “dash” around the square, wove through the lines of folks getting crazy cotton candy, golden buttery ears of corn, deliciously flavored ice cones, and a myriad of other festive fun family treats. It was just like it’s always been here in our little hidden gem, so softly sown in the rich scenery of California’s Sonoma County wine country. If ever there was an event for Kids, today is that day here in Healdsburg.

We want to Thank all the parents who gave us permission to snap a few shots or videos of them with their delightful families all beaming with joy, the tuff-n-tender band who sprinkled some of their rascally ways all over on our day (who also escaped before HPD could apprehend ‘em, but they vowed to be back next year), Skip and the crew at Healdsburg Running Company for overseeing such a fun and safe children’s race, and especially our remarkable Rotary Club who annually sponsors this picture-perfect event for our kids and community. It’s simply one of the most stellar happenings here in Healdsburg.

Here’s to everyone who made our day more beautiful here today. See you around the Square, and of course, again next year!
