Another proud family-owned winery is the Jordan Vineyard and Winery. Established in 1972, their claim to fame is that they only specialize in three things: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and hospitality. In addition, they are caretakers for nearly 1,200 acres that surround the Jordan Winery Château.

Being one of California’s most well renowned producers of classic Cabernet Sauvignon, they have chosen to direct part of their success toward the John Jordan Foundation, which fights poverty through health services and education.

The winery makes available five unique tours and tastings at their Alexander Valley estate in Healdsburg, all of which include food with the wine tasting. They also offer walking tours through their Château, and various holiday celebrations offered seasonally. Advance reservations for these events are highly recommended.

Simply driving up this long immaculately manicured and landscaped driveway into Jordan Vineyard speaks volumes about the quality of this exceptional winery. It is both stunning and breathtaking in a single moment. And as you stand and gaze out over its immaculately manicured landscaping, with its beautiful green rolling lawn, you’ll know you’re in a special place.
