While stunning views make Armida so attractive, it’s the winery’s warm family feel that’s most memorable. As a privately owned winery, you’ll likely find owners Bruce and Susan welcoming guests, or filling wine glasses – and always with genuine smiles.

Armida attains a rare mix of reserve-style exclusivity, with a cozy casual ease of being with old friends. A winery that imparts a distinctive sense of presence, while welcoming you with a comfortable sense of belonging. My wife says Armida’s beauty reminds her of family picnics she knew as a child in Spain, embraced by a majesty of mountains, rolling fruitful vineyards, and a natural beauty that seemingly rolls on forever.

With wines and tasting fees exceptionally approachable (tastings are only $35), making wine here is more about the love of a craft than anything else. And with their remarkable winemaker, Brandon, they’ve cultivated an excellent array of varietals. Brandon says zinfandel is his favorite wine to make, “because zinfandel is capable of such depth… like creating colors for canvas on an artist’s palette, you can explore and shape zin’s personality, until you reach that exact character you want flowing into your glass.”
