David Coffaro
David and Pat Coffaro purchased their vineyard in 1979, prior to the Dry Creek Valley’s establishment as one of the premier winery valleys in the country. The land they purchased had been a vineyard for many years prior to their purchasing it. In fact, many of the vines from which they harvest today were originally planted in the 1800s. These vines include Petite Sirah, Carignan and Zinfandel.
An ancient Pomo Indian village once rested on a hill in one of their Vineyards. The charcoal residue from that tribe has infused the soil, making it still a rich black terrain which today produces exceptional fruit for the wines of David Coffaro vineyard.
The David Coffaro facility also has really nice fig trees for your enjoyment (when in season) as you approach their tasting patio.
