Wineries Near Healdsburg

Soda Rock Winery Healdsburg, CA

Soda Rock Winery

While Soda Rock Winery is only open evenings for occasional concerts and events, its beauty and country charm at night are exceptional.

Originally this winery was founded in 1869. After years of neglect, the property had fallen into great disrepair. Current owners, Ken and Diane Wilson, had the foresight to see the value not only in the winery itself, and in its vineyards, but also in the historic nostalgia associated with this well-established vineyard. Soda Rock became a restoration project for the Wilsons. Ken and Diane’s passion to raise the greatest winery fruit available has fueled their hard work over the decades as they have grown their winery and its holdings into one of the finest arrays of wineries in Sonoma County.

In heartbreaking fashion, Soda Rock Winery’s main building was lost in the 2019 Kincade fire. Our hopes are that they can rebuild this magnificent structure to its former striking appeal. Soda Rock’s tasting room had the feel of walking through a large art gallery, wherein you could sip wine while enjoying amazing rustic beauty, art, and magnificent old oak wine barrels towering over 20 feet high encompassing their stately dining rooms.

Soda Rock Winery is still open and conducting tastings. We encourage you to visit this magnificent winery to see the resilience and heart of this winery and its staff.
