Stonestreet

With a heart to defy the limits of California’s history of winegrowing, Jess Stonestreet Jackson and Barbara Banke established Stonestreet winery in 1995. They offer Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. They have a 5,500-acre mountain estate that ranges far above Alexander Valley in the Mayacamas Mountain Range, with the elevations ranging from 400 feet to 2,400 feet.

This diversity of altitude and the uniqueness of its location provides more soil ranges than that of all of France. With its strong mineral base, the fruit it produces at this higher elevation is a more concentrated berry, providing deep and rich wines for the pallet. The fruit is harvested by hand and undergoes a native yeast fermentation process which includes upright oak tanks. This winery is purported to hold more potential than any other winery in the area, due to its diverse land mass, elevation, and makeup of soil.

You may run into Joanna (the Business Production Manager), or perhaps Kiana (one of their wine tasting concierges) when you’re there. They are exemplary members of their fine and knowledgeable staff.
